Akayi believes that education is the foundation of socioeconomically and morally healthy communities. Akayi first joined YSE as the iSTEM Program Director in 2016 and the Social Media and Networking Chair in 2017. Due to her outstanding performance and dedication to YSE, she was promoted to Executive Director on April 17th, 2018. Outside of YSE, she also serves as a mentor at BridgeBurma starting in September 2020.
